Yearbook 2019-20 Update
Hello Trent Grads of 2020 This is an update on the status of the 2019-20 yearbooks. I’m sorry we haven’t been able to give you an update earlier. Things have been changing so much and so frequently over the last few months that it’s been difficult to finalize plans for how or when to distribute your yearbooks. And unfortunately, those plans are still up in the air. The 2019-20yearbooks have not been printed yet. The final page designs went to the printers the week before the stay at home orders due to the COVID-19 pandemic. When convocation was postponed, we realized we don’t have the space to store the books for a full year or more. So we decided to delay printing until we knew more. We now know that classes in the fall will be primarily online and that graduates from spring 2020 invited to formal, in-person convocation ceremonies in spring 2021 With that in mind, we are trying to make the best plan for the printing, storage and distribution of the 2019-20 books. We aren’t able to do a mail out as each book costs $20 or more to ship. So we want to wait until students are… Read More "Yearbook 2019-20 Update"
2020 Yearbook Update
Get official updates about the situation at Trent during the COVID-19 outbreak here. As you likely know, convocation ceremonies for 2020 have been postponed. This is what Trent is saying about convocation:“As the latest guidance from public health officials suggests that the need for physical distancing to limit or slow the spread of COVID 19 will last for some time, Trent University has decided that Convocation ceremonies will not take place as scheduled this June in Peterborough and Durham. The University will work with members of the graduating class to look for ways to celebrate their graduation.” Since the Trent Yearbook is usually handed out at the same time as diplomas, this means there will be no way to distribute yearbooks this spring. As a result, we have delayed the final printing of the 2019-2020 Yearbook until further notice. If in person classes resume in the fall, we will have the books printed and prepare to distribute them to anyone who can pickup in person at a designated location. If events are happening, we will have a booth at Head of the Trent for yearbook pickup. If we are still living through a stay at home order or Trent isn’t… Read More "2020 Yearbook Update"
